WHY MEDITATE
Primarily, to re-discover who you are beyond stress and conditioning that has accumulated during ones life in order to experience more joy every day.
There are various responses to stress that our body uses to protect us, the most common being ‘fight or flight’ in which a physiological reaction occurs in response to perceived threat or danger. Over time this state can take its toll on our wellbeing if not tended to regularly. Our busy modern world has caused stress and anxiety to become the 'norm' and our stress responses are being activated even when a threat is not imminent, mainly due to overload from multiple sources. If you are not doing something daily to clear stress from the body / mind, then it's going to accumulate and result in a number of possible health concerns.
Vedic Meditation is a transcending technique that is scientifically proven to reduce stress. Once taught correctly over a 4 session course, you will experience ease and effortlessness as you go beyond the mind into deeper layers of Being. All that is then needed is to find somewhere comfortable to sit (no need for crossed legs) & enjoy a daily practice that will support you for life.
Vedic Meditation also promotes a deep state of rest to combat fatigue allowing the brain to function with greater clarity in a coherent state. The course consists of four 90 minute one-on-one sessions run over consecutive days. This course also includes a 2 week check-in post completion and the on-going support of regular drop in community group meditations.
